Great things are happening in the Westhill Band Department!
These Westhill band students all successfully participated in the NYSSMA Solo Festival at Skaneateles High School in May.

Congratulations to Mike T. (Percussion), Laura B. (Oboe/English Horn), and Alison C. (Clarinet) for being accepted into the Syracuse Symphony Youth Orchestra 2005-2006!
Congratulations to Laura B for being invited to participate in the New York State Summer School of the Arts Orchestra!
Congratulations to Mike T for being invited to participate in the 2005 Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute on drumset.

Tonight was the first (annual!) Brass Bash with Westhill and Baldwinsville ensembles performing!!
What a Great concert. All the feedback Miss Bushee and I heard was fantastic, and we are so proud of you all.
Congratulations Brass Ensembles, Percussion Ensemble, Brass Quintet and Mary Kate and Mark! :-)

Brass Bash 2005

Baldwinsville Brass Ensemble directed by Melissa Bushee
Come support the department! We had a great dress rehearsal tonight and are very excited about the show tomorrow. There will be a dessert reception to follow the concert - bring your friends!

Congratulations to the Westhill Percussion Ensemble, who took first
place at this past weekend's Jordan-Elbridge Festival of Drums.
They improved their best score by an impressive 15 points, and received
compliments all around on a job well done!
Three fifth grade percussionists from OHMS also accompanied the Percussion Ensemble on the trip to Jordan-Elbridge!
